A Dresser Makeover

I have had a dresser that Oakley has been using that I have wanted to paint for a long time. Cydney came over to advise on some projects and she offered to have the YW re-do Oakley's dresser for their Tuesday night activity. Then, I found a dresser in the garbage over by Lisa's that matches Oakley's. I decided to take it and re-do it for Tessa. I have never done this before, so here is my first effort--I think it turned out pretty cute. Thanks Cydney for the help and inspiration.

The Dino Party

O did most of the planning for this party. He wanted a dino party with a cheetah cake. He even came up with the idea of having the inside of the cake be brownies with caramel frosting for the outside and chocolate chips for the spots (you can see above). It turned out pretty cool--and thanks to dad for doing the outline of the cheetah for me to cut out.
Here's O and his friends being dinosaurs. We had some fun activities, like smashing open rocks that had dinosaurs inside of them and a volcano (O helped make both of those things too). We all had a fun time--he is now enjoying all of the great presents he got (thanks everyone!)

The BIG 5!

It seems like we have been having O's birthday for about a week now, but we have all been having a good time. On Wed (his actual B-day) we went to the zoo with his friend and then opened presents that night at home. He got an Imaginext Castle, which he has loved (who knew that dinosaurs also lived in medievil time? but they seem to get along just fine with the castle folk).
